OCR GCSE Computer Science

 

On this course you will study aspects of computer science including programming, algorithms and computational thinking. You will learn how to design your own programs, and to create them using Python. You will learn about computer hardware and networks, storage and security. You will also learn about how data is represented in computer systems, and computational logic. You will study the ethical and legal issues surrounding computer science and learn about how what you have learnt in lessons impacts upon the real world.

 

Examination for this course will comprise of two papers, one will focus on algorithms and computational thinking and one with a focus on the theory of computer science. These papers will form 100% of the final qualification.
