At the time of writing the AQA examination Board has not released its new specification for the examination which is due to commence in September 2016 and which will be examined in the summer of 2018.

The most important thing is that you are interested in the world around you.

Geography is the study of people and places and the interaction between them. If you are interested in the awe and wonder of the natural world, are keen to discover more about people in the UK and other countries and want to learn about how the planet can sustain itself in the future, then Geography is for you.

The specification has not formally been approved by Ofqual . However, we believe the course will include the following:

Unit 1: Living with the physical environment.The study of physical processes and patterns.

1 hour 30 minute exam. 35%

Unit 2: Challenges in the human environment.The study of human geography themes and issues.

1 hour 30 minute exam. 35%

​

Unit 3: Geographical Applications.•Issue evaluation based on a seen resource booklet.

•Fieldwork in two contrasting environments.

1 hour 15 minute exam. 30%
